Bruce Heavin and Lynda Weinman Endowed Scholarship

Bruce Heavin and Lynda Weinman Endowed Scholarship

The Bruce Heavin and Lynda Weinman Endowed Scholarship (formerly the lynda.com Endowed Scholarship) was established in 2009 by Bruce Heavin (BFA 93) and Lynda Weinman. This scholarship is a commitment to outstanding undergraduate students in the Illustration program who demonstrate not only drive, initiative, and promise but also a financial need. Through the vision of this scholarship’s creators, Lynda Weinman and Bruce Heavin, ArtCenter continues to advance its efforts to increase affordability for accepted students and ensure that exceptional undergraduate Illustration students can better afford an ArtCenter education.

Understandably, Lynda and Bruce’s commitment to the College runs deep. Lynda is a former Computer Graphics and Computer Education faculty member at ArtCenter, while Bruce graduated in 1993 with a BFA in Illustration. They understand the transformative power of giving and wish to foster those top-notch and deserving Illustration students who will in turn, through their ArtCenter educations, not only contribute to the College’s legacy of excellence but also positively impact the world around them.
