Charles Potts Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Charles Potts Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in memory of Charles Potts to support Photography & Imaging students with financial need.

One of ArtCenter’s own, Charlie Potts contributed to the strength and stature of the College for m ore than forty years as a student, faculty member, chairman and chairman emeritus of the Photography & Imaging Department. His distinguished professional career included work for many nationally known and well respected groups. In 1976, he conducted a seres of television workshops, “The Subject is Light” for a CBS affiliate. He was greatly loved by generations of students. As Chairman, he fostered the high level of technical proficiency for which Art Center’s Photography Department is noted and helped students develop technique into concept and idea. As an outstanding teacher, professional, administrator, and friend, Charles Potts made an immense contribution to ArtCenter.
