Mark Hughes Foundation Scholarship

Mark Hughes Foundation Scholarship

The Mark Hughes Foundation Annual Scholarship was created in 2020 to enhance the educational benefits of diversity by supporting students with both financial need and demonstrated academic merit in any undergraduate program at ArtCenter.

Jeffrey L. Glassman, who serves on ArtCenter’s Board of Directors and who is also a Trustee at the Mark Hughes Foundation, helped to shepherd this scholarship for our students. He joined Covington Capital Management in 2007 and has practiced law for over 30 years, specializing in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. Previously, Jeff served as Managing Director of Bingham Legg Advisers LLC, a joint venture created by the law firm Bingham McCutchen and investment manager Legg Mason. Prior to that, he was a principal at the law firm of Riordan & McKinzie for 18 years. Jeff graduated from UCLA with a BA in Political Science and received his JD, magna cum laude, from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. Jeff serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Jewish Home, Mark Hughes Foundation, Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission, ArtCenter College of Design, and Alzheimer’s Los Angeles. Jeff for many years served on the Board of Directors of IFES, the Washington based NGO, which provides election assistance in emerging democracies around the world.
