Reeves and Sue Callaway Endowed Scholarship
The Reeves and Sue Callaway Endowed Scholarship was established by Reeves Callaway and Sue Callaway in 2005 to provide essential financial support to Transportation design students with financial need and exceptional talent.
Sue Callaway is an entrepreneur, award-winning journalist and author, media marketing pioneer, and automotive insider. She has served as EVP, Editorial Director at Edelman, where she oversees content strategy and creation for global clients like Nissan, INFINITI, Datsun, Bridgestone, HP and others. Prior to joining Edelman in 2017, she was the Senior Editor, Automotive, for Time Inc., where she oversaw automotive industry coverage-digital, video, social and print-for Fortune, Sports Illustrated, Time, and Money, among the company’s 90+ brands. Callaway has appeared on Jay Leno’s Garage, the Today Show, CNN and CBS’s The Early Show, among other outlets, and her auto coverage has also appeared in Rosso, Conde Nast Traveler, Esquire, Slate, Town & Country, Rosso, among others. Callaway has also had extensive automotive experience outside the media business. In 2000 she left journalism to become the Director of Marketing for Ford’s Premiere Automotive Group (Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo and Lincoln). She later became the VP and General Manager of Jaguar Cars North America. She was a founding independent board director at TrueCar, and is also the founder and CEO of THE AUTO 100, an innovative web-based content and analytics platform that tracks and ranks automotive verticals in real time. She has been invited to judge at numerous concours events, including Amelia Island, the Desert Classic, Palos Verdes, Newport Beach/Dana Point and Rodeo Drive.
Ely Reeves Callaway III is the founder of Callaway Cars Inc. with facilities in Old Lyme, CT, Santa Ana, CA, and Leingarten, Germany. Callaway Competition, based in Leingarten, Germany, enjoys an extensive history of designing and constructing winning race cars, currently campaigning Corvette Z06.R race cars in ADAC’s GT Masters series and building Corvettes for several European race teams. Callaway Competition’s composite design and manufacturing expertise was instrumental in establishing Santa Ana’s new Callaway Carbon facilities, which now provides advanced carbon fiber products for automotive, aerospace and medical industries.
